Job Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for performing labor-intensive duties to repair structural and general pool repairs. This role is also responsible for diagnosing and finding repair solutions for pools systems, structures, pool shells and interiors, including installation work for specialty items This position is based in Phoenix, AZ (Corporate Office located at 3750 W Indian School Rd).

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Utilizes tools to perform a variety of tasks as instructed by the Field Operations Manager or Field Supervisors.
  • Communicates effectively with customers and office personnel
  • Completed routing technical service related tasks
  • Lifts and carries various pool parts and pool equipment as required for repairing swimming pools
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in heavy pool repairs and construction related structural repairs  (verifiable experience in servicing pool motors, pumps, heaters, electronic controls and salt chlorination systems. Experience must also include hydraulic and electric trouble shooting skills along with experience working on in floor cleaning systems)
  • Must possess valid drivers license with clean driving record (will occasionally drive company vehicles).
  • Electrical and Hydraulic knowledge preferred but not required
  • Proven understanding of pool hydraulics and water flow and how to do complicated pool plumbing repairs required.
  • Adaptable to various environments and work outside (year round) to assist w/ heavy repairs
  • Must have good communication skills (written and verbal) with English as primary speaking and written skills
  • Motivated, dependable, enthusiastic, team player, willing to do what it takes to get the job done.  
  • Willing and able to follow instructions to perform a variety of tasks.​​​​​​

  • Must be hard working, flexible, and available to work overtime as needed

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; occasionally use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear
  • Ability to Occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
  • Must be able to work outdoors, in and around pools
