Who are we looking for?  We are seeking a Manager of Sustainability and Process Engineering who has experience developing & leading sustainability programs that meet both company and customer objectives. Focusing on raw material inputs, supplier/supply chain initiatives and internal facilities to drive continuous improvement that meet and exceed long term goals.  We prefer your experience to be within the fashion/apparel industry, and that you can hit the ground running.

Requirements: (The must have’s) 

  • Must have 3+ years of professional experience in the Sustainability field 

  • Must have advanced Excel skills, along with ERP & PLM systems. 

  • Experience with apparel manufacturing company preferred 

  • Technical fabric expertise, ideally with experience in fabric mill and product development. 

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, including financial analysis/modeling to assess strategic options, and developing creative solutions to complex problems.  

  • Experience in developing business cases and high-level program implementation plans including milestones and progress measurement.  

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges 

Responsibilities:  

  • Oversee and drive efforts with internal teams, suppliers & customers to identify and transition to more sustainable raw materials/trims (fabrics, dye processes, trims packaging, ext) 

  • Drive continual process improvement, reviewing and mapping information flow between teams, actual work flows in the manufacturing & distribution processes to recognize and implement opportunities to improve that yield lower cost, increases efficiency and reduce cycle time to customer.  

  • Responsible for defining and implementing social and environmental sustainability vision, goals and strategy across all product categories.  

  • Serve as technical subject matter expert on product sustainability-attributes, certifications, social & environmental impact.    

The Location:  Located right off the 10 freeway, Spirit Jersey is only 10 minutes away from the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Our facility is gated & there is plenty of parking.
